Certified EAL course - Introduction

The Cartier Equine Learning Center welcomes this opportunity to present the first nationally
recognized equine-assisted learning certification program. For decades, equine-assisted l
earning has unofficially proven to help develop leadership skills in some, life-skills in those
at-risk and specific skills in participants with special needs. In recent years, a number of
equine-assisted facilities scattered across the globe made numerous attempts to unify, certify
and find recognition for their efforts with no avail. Until now.
The partnership of Cartier Equine Learning Center has spent years researching the lasting
benefits of EAL and hundreds of hours developing a flexible/teachable curriculum that
others could learn how to teach at a facility of their own. The Cartier Equine Learning
Center's EAL courses have been designed to emphasize real-world training tailored to meet the
equine and social service industries.
The Cartier Equine Learning Center has partnered with the Saskatchewan Horse Federation/
Equine Canada to nationally recognize and certify this unique and innovative BuildingBlock™
Equine-Assisted Learning Course© part of the Cartier Equine Learning Center's
BuildingBlock™ Program Series© with the express intent of providing a standardized
educational format for individuals interested in expanding their knowledge in the industry, as
well as increase their business' marketability and income potential.
You can come to count on the Learning Center's instructors. They will facilitate, mentor
and coach you throughout the program in a supportive learning environment and provide you with
numerous opportunities to develop your EAL skills with practical application and hands on
teaching. The dedicated faculty cater to students seeking a strong knowledge base and draw
on the experience needed to succeed.
